چکیده
We thank Dr Degens et al. for their interesting comments. Our study aimed at evaluating the relationship between survival of patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICPI, targeting PD-1 - PD-L1 pathway) and sarcopenia or cachexia in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). took into account other known predictive factors ICPI efficiency, particularly tissue immunostaining score all patients. concluded that both negatively influenced outcome therapy. Letter to EditorLung CancerVol. 153PreviewWith great interest, we read paper entitled ‘Cachexia – as a determinant disease control rate inhibitors’ Lung Cancer. Treatment with (ICI), without chemotherapy, is currently standard medical care metastatic non small (NSCLC) [2]. However, not benefit. For optimal cost effective implementation this relatively new treatment, it important identify clinical characteristics biomarkers, which can predict ICI effectiveness. Full-Text PDF

متن کاملReply to the Letter to the Editor by Dr. Chirumbolo
Dear Editor, We are grateful to Dr. Chirumbolo for the letter in response to our paper describing a basophil activation test for chronic urticaria [1, 2]. We agree with most of the issues raised by Dr. Chirumbolo, but some points need to be addressed. The non-atopic donors in our study were adults, not infants. Among 3-5 healthy individuals with blood group O, one with a high basophil count was...
متن کاملLetter to the Editor Wolf Subspecies: Reply to Weckworth et al. and Fredrickson et al
Colleagues disagree with statements in our discussion (Cronin et al. 2015) regarding subspecies taxonomy of wolves (Canis lupus) in southeast Alaska (Weckworth et al. 2015) and the southwest United States (Fredrickson et al. 2015). Following the presentation of results of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) variation in several populations of wolves in North America, we discussed other genetic...
متن کاملReply to Dr. Selinger et al.'s letter.
We appreciate the input from Selinger et al. They questioned the utility of surveillance for patients with colonic Crohn's disease (CD), finding a cumulative incidence of only 2% of colorectal cancer (CRC) at 30 years. In Australia they found 5 cases of CRC among 327 patients, and we in Finland 4 among 208 patients with colonic CD. The follow up periods were 1977–1992 and 1986–2007, respectivel...
متن کاملReply to Dr. Papamichael et al.'s letter.
We thank Dr. Papamichael and colleagues for taking an interest in our work. We agree that fecal calprotectin (FC) is an accurate surrogate marker of endoscopic activity both in Crohn's disease (CD)1,2 and ulcerative colitis (UC).3,2 However, data on its usefulness to predict postoperative endoscopic recurrence (PER) in CD patients are more scarce.1,4 Since PER is one of the main indications for...
